Double whammy.
While the Bears were losing to the Texans 31-24 in Houston on Sunday, the Vikings were beating the Giants 20-19 in Minneapolis. A two-site chronology of how the NFC North title was decided:

12:16 The Bears finish an impressive 80-yard opening drive with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Orton to Brandon Lloyd, giving them a 7-0 lead.

12:27 Robbie Gould kicks a 37-yard field goal to stretch the Bears' lead to 10-0.

12:49 Adrian Peterson rips off a 67-yard run for a touchdown. The Vikings and Bears now have matching 10-point leads.

12:59 A blown coverage, apparently by Danieal Manning, results in a 43-yard TD pass from Matt Schaub to Andre Johnson, pulling the Texans within three of the Bears.

1:03 Manning fumbles away a kickoff and the Texans recover on the Bears' 38.

1:11 The Texans take the lead for the first time, going up 14-10 on Schaub's 3-yard TD pass to Johnson.

1:33 John Carney hits his third field goal of the day, cutting the Vikings' lead over the Giants to 10-9.

1:47 The Texans go 72 yards on their first second-half possession, increasing their lead to 21-10 on Ryan Moats' 2-yard touchdown run.

2:03 The Giants take the lead on Minnesota, going up 16-10 on a 23-yard TD pass from David Carr to Domenik Hixon.

2:32 Carney nails a 20-yard field goal, giving the Giants a 19-10 lead.

2:37 Tarvaris Jackson hooks up with Bernard Berrian on a 54-yard touchdown pass, pulling the Vikings within 19-17.

2:48 Steve Slaton caps a drive on which he rushed for 65 yards with a 2-yard TD run, putting the Texans up 14.

2:50 Carney misses a 48-yard field-goal attempt.

3:05 Ryan Longwell hits a 50-yard field goal as time expires to give the Vikings a 20-19 victory and the NFC North title.

3:11 Schaub takes a knee and the Texans beat the Bears 31-24.
