The Texans came within four minutes of defeating the Colts just last month. But instead of walking away with their second victory in 13 meetings, the Texans walked away with one of the worst collapses in NFL history.

Now, they are trying to find the positives from that game as they prepare for another matchup with the Colts this Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. They are also trying not to dwell on the fact that they are 0-6 in Indianapolis. They have lost those six meetings by an average of 19 points.

"I'm undefeated at Lucas Oil Stadium," left guard Chester Pitts said. "I hope that's still true when I leave there Sunday."

The Colts' old stadium wasn't so kind to the Texans. And it doesn't help this week that the Colts are playing much better than they were a month ago when the Texans last faced them.

Their run defense has improved tremendously. After giving up 188.5 rushing yards in the first four games, they've allowed only 90 rushing yards over the last five. In addition to getting Bob Sanders back and healthy, the defensive line and the linebackers are playing better as well.

"Bob's a great player," receiver Andre Johnson said. "He didn't play the first time we played against them. We always say, 'How can one person have that much affect on a defense,' but he's a guy that's all over the field. He's a great player. So, he makes a lot of plays.

"They put him in the box a lot. He's a big run stopper. He's effective in the passing game too. We just have to go out and do like we did the first time we played against them, pick our spots and just not turn the ball over."

The Texans will also have to deal with Peyton Manning, who is much more comfortable in the offense at this point. He was still struggling to get in sync with his receivers when the Texans last saw him. Now, he's coming off big victories on the road against the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Texans are coming off two disappointing losses at home, and the defense put together one of its worst performances last week against the Baltimore Ravens.

"(Playing Manning is) just definitely a challenge," SAM Kevin Bentley said. "He's probably one of the best to ever play the game at that position. Definitely a Hall of Famer. He does a lot of studying. He knows how to break down defenses and he knows how to get his offense in the right play."

The Texans hope quarterback Sage Rosenfels has a similar formula for success ready to show. Rosenfels said he is ready to put last week's four interceptions behind him and help the Texans start climbing out of the cellar of the AFC South.

"I try to put that game behind me," said Rosenfels of his last loss to Indy earlier this year. "It's a totally different mindset. I'm going into this game trying to do everything I can to win this game. We've got some new stuff in the game plan that we didn't play last game and I have to work on that.

"Every time you play a team, it's a whole different beast the next time you play them. They're not the same team; we're not the same team. You have to take each play separately. You can't read something the same that you read in the last game. You can't take that same read and just assume that it's going to be there this week. You really have to read everything out. But that experience from the last game does obviously help a little bit in this game."

SERIES HISTORY: 14th meeting. Colts lead series, 12-1, with the Colts owning a 6-0 record in Indianapolis. They are also on a three-game winning streak in the series. In the last meeting, the Colts won 31-27 in Reliant Stadium when the Colts scored 21 points in the final quarter. Sage Rosenfels turned the ball over three times in the final four minutes.
