--Texans WR Andre Johnson said he expects to see a lot of Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha this weekend.
"He'll probably follow me across the field," Johnson said. "But he's a great player. He's finally gotten into the Pro Bowl. He's a guy I voted for. I thought he really deserved it and it's going to be a big challenge for me."
Johnson realizes he may not be able to top the 200-yard performance he had last week against the Titans, but he does hope to make some big plays against the Raiders.
"You get attention every week when you go out and make plays," Johnson said. "That's part of the game. But you just try to make the best of your opportunities. That's the way I look at it. You're going to get attention when you go out and you do what you're supposed to do on the football field. Other than that, the opportunities I get on Sundays, I just try to make the best of them."
--CB Dunta Robinson is preparing to return to the same field where he suffered a career-threatening injury last season.
Robinson said he still hasn't watched a film of the actual injury happening, and he will try to steer clear of thinking about it too much. Robinson hurts his knee and hamstring when he was chasing down a play and collided with teammate Earl Cochran.
"I probably won't think about it until I step on the field for the first time. The thought probably won't go past the situation that occurred last season. It won't be something that sticks with me for long. I'll walk out, I'll think about, and then it's time to play football. But I really haven't thought about it much. I still have never seen the film on the injury. It's just not something that I want to revisit."
--Texans RB Steve Slaton said he wasn't insulted when he heard Titans LB Keith Bulluck say he wasn't impressed with Slaton. The Texans' rookie RB is the only running back to rush for 100 yards against the Titans defense all season. Slaton has done it twice.
"I just feel like they're upset because they are a great defense and they have been holding everybody else down so well, but our team came to play for 60 minutes and we came out of there with a win," Slaton said.
BY THE NUMBERS: 21 -- Times that Houston has gained more than 350 yards in 46 games coached by Gary Kubiak. In the 64 games before he became head coach, Houston topped 350 yards of offense just nine times.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "Well, it has to change over a long period of time, not one football game. You know, people have asked me, 'Did you turn the corner? Did you do this?' You know, I don't know when that day will come when we say we've turned the corner. We all know what our goal is. We're going to fall short of that this year; we're not going to be a playoff team. But there's no doubt in my mind that we're a better football team right now. There's two very important football games to play. Yesterday was a big step in the right direction. We played a very physical, very good football team that we knew we would have to go toe-to-toe with them for four quarters if we were going to win. And we found a way to do that as a football team. So, it was a big step." -- Coach Gary Kubiak, on if the franchise has "turned the corner."
